social modernization in their respective countries. Despite their profound, inevitable diferences,
they show, at times, uncanny similarities.

I took photographs that aimed to capture the spirit of place of each city. I interpolated
two images to create a third one, allowing some features to come to the fore or remain
in the background. The final image hides and reveals different aspects and shapes of
each city, which are clearly recognizable, at times. In other images, a completely abstract
dynamic shows the power of intertwining scenes on purely formal and aesthetic grounds.
