I bring Detroit and Torino in close conversation by overlapping and editing two images. I hide and reveal different features of each layer
to show the possible visual relationships between two very different urban settings. As in ancient palimpsests, where an older text can be
recovered under a new one, the final result is a more complex story, which adds a three-dimensional impression to the image as our eyes
shift from one line, texture or colour to the other.
